When I was a kid, I used to wake up every Saturday morning, me and my sister would go downstairs at like eight o'clock in the morning just to turn on the Wi Fi and spend hours playing it before my parents would wake up. Yeah, don't we growing up? Yes, I had a week going up lucky. Did you have anything? I had a ps4 na ps4 ps two that my brother sold? How old were you when he sold it? 11. Do you remember like I remember distinctly playing a Harry Potter game. Right? And this is my only memory from having any sort of video game console growing up was playing the Harry Potter game and I had a sandwich. That was turkey cheese and mayo. And I dropped the sandwich on the controller. And I got mail everywhere. Oh god everywhere. No. Yeah. How'd you manage to drop that sandwich? I you know, I was 11. Okay, as 11 year olds do. It happened. That makes sense.

Thank you for listening in tipsy talking. My name is Christian and mine. And I'm Maddie. Oh, God.

1:45
Lots of lots of mistakes happening already. Right off the bad. That's good. But um, yeah. Today, I thought we could talk about something that's been a part of my life for a while and is a big hobby of mine. And something that I feel like I've been dragging you into a lot lately. video game. And that's video games. Yes. There's been a lot of crazy advancements in recent years with with these video games. Yeah, you've recently dove down into an obsession with the Oculus. Yes, I did. I do have a new obsession. Every second I turn around, that thing's on your face. So there is a new form of video games now. It's been I feel like it's been around for a little bit, but it's never been good. I remember, we're talking about the Oculus, right? We could talk about any kind of VR. Okay, so with VR, I remember first learning about VR. I think my sophomore year of high school.

2:38
And this was like when Five Nights at Freddy's was like super big. Like I really liked Five Nights at Freddy's. I was one of those kids. Oh, no. Yeah. Yeah. But I wanted to to play in VR, but I think at the time it wasn't available in VR. I don't even think it is now. Is it? Oh, oh, I have something to tell you. Is Five Nights at Freddy's available for VR is a full game on the Oculus. Ah, hoppy. Yes. Oh, God. That would be the only game that I'd play on the Oculus. Really? Yes. would be five nights at freddy's a case. In case we're being a little vague, but I think it's pretty self explanatory. But VR is virtual reality. Yes. Just to get that out there. For people who may not know what we mean by VR. We're talking about virtual reality headsets, right? It actually just means Venice. rats. Venice, red tennis rat. Oh, God, riding in a gondola is the play.

3:33
But yeah, the evolution that video games have taken in my life. I started with a Gameboy. And now I'm sitting in my room with a headset on waving my arms around, pretending I'm some kind of assassin. I started out with a baby blue DS I

3:51
and they were brand new like this is one of DSS first came out. And I only had two games aid Cooking Mama and nintendogs. And I love nintendogs I actually recently came across my DSI a couple years ago while I was cleaning out my house, and I turned it on and it was just photos of my old hamster. Oh, I forgot you can take photos. Yeah, that was the first like, handheld like thing that Nintendo made that you could take like photos on it. Yeah, I think so. I mean, there was so actually fun fact. There was like a thing you could buy for the Gameboy. And it was like a little camera and you could take pictures, but all the pictures would come out like pixelated so like they weren't very good pictures. Yeah the pictures that were on well I'm sure the guests were awful Yeah, I'm but I'm sure the kids at the time of when that came out. Were like whoa, this is so high def and I took a holy balls video of my cat yesterday and I'm like I could see every individual hair on this cat.

4:48
cameras have come a long way to they really have but I think video game consoles as a whole some of these games. They're starting to look more and more like real life. Right? Like Okay, my first instance with a video game

5:00
That I was unsure if it's real life or not was until dawn. That was like the first video game that I've ever watched let's plays off and played where the characters in a video game were based off of actual people. Okay dependency err. And they computer generated their face on to the animated character. And I don't know if it's something just primal inside of my head. I know that humans have this thing where we see things that are like slightly human, and it freaks us out. But that freaked me out the two great games called the uncanny valley uncanny valley. Yes, that's what it's called. I there are some points in that video game where I'm staring at like the characters faces and I'm like, that's a little too human. For me. That game is really good, but but it is kind of older now. I'm pretty sure that's like,

5:48
oh, seven might be too long. Maybe like five years old? Four years old. I thought you're gonna say Oh, seven like it was made in the year. Oh, no, no, it definitely was not made in the year. Oh, seven. Let's see. When's the first time you heard about it until dawn? I remember. I don't remember. A

6:06
roosterteeth video. Six years old now came out. 2015 All right. roosterteeth. That channel used to be Oh, then but I don't know if you guys remember. roosterteeth did they still make I know but they're not like, like, I haven't heard from Michael or Gavin and yours. Well, okay. Well, that's the only reason why I watched it. This is for Michael Gavin and Jeff. There's a whole This is a whole other conversation. A lot of lot of things that we know, are teeth. By the way, Rooster Rooster Teeth is a big video game based channel. Well, it used to be now it's now they do a lot of things. Now they make I haven't checked it out in a couple years. Well, they make they make anime now. Oh, well. Yeah, Ruby. Yeah. I've watched every single episode of Ruby back in like my anime club high school years. It's that old now. It is that Time keeps going by crazy. But back to until dawn. That game is pretty good. And it's actually one of your favorite kinds of games is the choice base game. I love choice based games. I love it's two of my favorite genres of games mixed into one it's choice based and horror. And I love horror movies. I love horror books. I love horror games. But choice based games are definitely like my go twos. Because, like, there's consequences, but there's no consequences. You know, like, I don't like first person. Oh, whoa. I don't like first person shooter games. Like I don't like to die in video games. It makes me upset. What about what about when you make a choice and when these choice base games and then character dies? Because until dawn is full of that, yeah. But like, like games like pub G and fortnight I don't like like, I could watch other people play them all enjoy sitting in a room with somebody playing it, I get the references. I don't like playing them though. I've never really liked first person shooter games. So I would say I'm a bigger video game guy than you You are right now by a large margin.

8:01
Right now the only video game I play by myself is the Sims. That's a whole other kind of drama.

8:08
I don't I don't think of the Sims as a video game. I think of the Sims as my unpaid therapist. You know how we were talking about

8:16
how quickly games are like evolving? And how more realistic they're becoming? Mm hmm. Imagine if the Sims instead of the stylized way that it is. It was just all realistic little people walking around a realistic town. I mean, I don't know if you've been playing the Sims since like the first generation one. I haven't. I've never liked the sim. So my first sim Sims game was on my uncle's Xbox, and it was Sims one. Mm hmm. And looking back at like, the Sims one and the Sims two, the graphics are

8:50
awful. But at the time, you're like, this is the state of the art. And now I look at screencaps of like the Sims two on like YouTube, or Twitter or whatever. And then I turn and face my laptop, and there's a real person staring back at me, because that's how good the graphics look now. And there's like speculation that like, they're coming out with the Sims five, soon, but they haven't come out with all the expansion packs or the Sims four yet. There's speculation that it's going to be like super high def. Really? Yeah. And it's a little, little disconcerting for me, because again, with the uncanny valley, it just makes me want to know they wouldn't, they wouldn't make that game two, they wouldn't make it look too realistic. Because like I said, that would just look funny to me. I think that will look hilarious. Yeah, but there's a lot that you can do. Like you could make your Sims look like a real person. Like I've made my Sam look exactly like me to a tee. And then there are other times where I'm like, yeah, that could be a person. Like you look okay, and then there are other times where it's like that's a mirror. Sometimes you make yourself Other times you wind up having like a Shrek a Shrek looking like that time we played spore or

10:00
spore is also a game that I enjoy. So, when I was a kid EA made I think, actually it's the same. It's the same branch Maximus. Yeah, so they make the Sims two, right. So, Max has made a game called sport and it's instead of making like people like you do in The Sims, you would make your own like little alien, monster type creature. You put a head on it, body parts, whatever. And then you have to like you have to live and evolve in the world. Man, sport is a great game. Um, when you could take like two different perspectives.

10:34
You could take two different perspectives of it, like Chris here would much rather make a big colony of creatures and become the most advanced and kill off like his opponents. I just want to find some cool flowers. I just want to make friends and almost always the creatures that I make our vegetarian so they don't eat other creatures. You're wack. I am wack. I friendship is what really matters at the end of the day. That was gross.

11:04
That was really good. The real lesson here is all the friends that we made along the way. Oh, really? No, no, thank you. So considering that we're speaking about video games. We have a we have a beer to taste here. Yes. called loot box loot box. I'm personally I hate loot boxes in my video games. But this I don't know what loot boxes are. loot boxes are like when or like when you pay to get random stuff in the game. Like you pay to get random items that could help you so so you have a chance of getting stuff that like absolutely yeah, so something else. It's like gambling. Okay, so people some people put in tons of money into loot boxes because it's like an addiction. It's like a gambling addiction. You know, personally, I don't even like gambling. We went to Atlantic City once and I stepped into the casino and immediately had to leave. There wasn't even a lot of people in there. It was just a lot. There's a lot of bright lights like it. So back to the beer loot box. It is a porter with marshmallow and peanut butter 7.6% ABV it also has milk sugar. Really? Yeah on the well on the website it doesn't specify that but on the can it said Porter with milk sugar marshmallow and peanut butter. What does that mean was milk sugar? I don't know when I saw this in a store. I read milk sugar marshmallow peanut and butter. Oh wait, wait. Yeah, that's all I like. brewed with Maris otter flaked oats, chocolate malt Crystal 90 our specialty malt and lactose conditioned on marshmallow and peanut butter. gives off Major fluffernutter vibes. I love fluffer nutters Have you ever had a fluffy? No, no. Do you know what fluff is? marshmallow? Yeah, no marshmallow. Okay, so fluffernutter is just instead of a pb&j? It's just marshmallow fluff and peanut butter. Oh, yes, I do. I've had this. I prefer my fluffy daughters with crunchy peanut butter though. No smooth all the way. See? Okay, smooth peanut butter is great. 10 out of 10 s here. Sometimes. Now sometimes only. I enjoy crunchy peanut butter. But it only has to be the Skippy is reduced fat extra crunchy. I can't have any other crunchy peanut butter. For some reason that one just tastes different. You picky bitch. I am I only eat Skippy peanut butter. Like right now the the one that I'm working on in my cabinet is the all natural with honey. Can you say that word again? What? All natural with honey. No. Where do you? Where do you like cabinet? Where do you keep your peanut butter in my cabinet? And I swear to god if you told me that you keep your peanut butter in your fridge. Oh no, I don't. I've just cabinet cabinet. I feel like I say cabinet. Yeah, you also say bathroom. Oh, shut up and open the beer.

13:47
Let's crack this one. Oh.

13:50
I put my whole farm in. That's okay. My thumb went inside the can Oh, by a dinner first. Oh man. It's a very dark color. It is. You can't see through the liquid. I'm shining it in front of the light. You can't see through it. No, you cannot. It's very dark brown. It has a grayish. Yeah, it has a red undertone, but it has a good carbonation level. Not too much head on there. No, I poured it nice. But when my thumb went inside the cap, I took a little little lick on my thumb. Very peanut buttery. Right off the bat. Yeah, I could smell it. I could also smell the marshmallow and hopeful for it was Mom. Yes. Oh, yeah. See? Okay. It obviously smells like beer. Because it's beer. But like Chris said, it does have a very nut smell to it. What is wrong with a lot? Like, guys, they might want to be a new co host. I need to get rid of this one.

14:48
Damn, I just got this job.

14:51
Mom was gonna be sad. Did you taste it? I didn't. I'm gonna let you take the first step. Oh, that is good. Don't say anything I want to try. Oh, wow. It seems like marshmallow.

15:00
Oh wow, it's it's a chocolate and it because I taste yeah chocolate malt. Okay. I love chocolate malt No, it kind of tastes like a chocolate chocolate egg cream. Okay, so I love chocolate malt I don't like chocolate ice creams though, but when I used to work at Carvel I'm the malt syrup that we would have to make like egg creams and stuff. At the end of the day I would just make a chocolate shake and put the malt syrup in there. Oh, you told me this. Yes. Cuz whoppers the candy there chocolate malt candies. Hmm. I really like this beer. It's nice. I like the name of the of the beer loot box. I mean, I'm not really sure what this has to do with like, video games were to have that name, but it's good. So far, like in the beers? I am. I am.

15:45
This is This episode is going to be different than the last two episodes that we put out because I thoroughly enjoy quarters. So I've already finished it. Oh, oh, god. Oh, no. Well, in that case, let's go back to our topic. So yes, um, I have a hot take for you. Xbox or PS. PlayStation PlayStation. Okay. Yes. I've never had an Xbox. I've only ever had PlayStations. But I don't. I can't grasp on to the the reason why people are so split. You can get a game for the PS four and still get the same game for the Xbox One and still enjoy the same thing. All the time. There are exclusives. There are things you can only get on Xbox and there are things you can only get on PlayStation. You can't get got a war on Xbox. So you're telling me spider man on a download a copy of war and play it on Xbox. No, not how that works. It's not they're not like movies out of war. It's not even that good.

16:49
I just wanted to get a rise out pretty good.

16:53
You wouldn't even know you ever watched me play? I've watched you play God of War. Nah, yes. I have. No she's a liar. I haven't watched played monster after you've watched me play Monster Hunter. That's Nintendo. That isn't or put we actually no, I lied. They haven't on PlayStation. Mm hmm. Depends on the game. I just don't really like the the animosity between like the two Xbox culture, Playstation culture just joined together. I just like playing games. I like Exactly. I like playing games. I don't want to have to say like, Oh, yeah, I have a PlayStation and someone looks at me and go, Oh, a PlayStation. Well, I have an Xbox, whatever number they're up to Nah, man, this virtual reality is the new wave. Okay, I still like handheld consoles. Like the switch. Like I enjoy the switch. Oh, this switch is my favorite out of what I have. But now, do you prefer console or PC? PC PC all the way? I just wish uh, you know, it's a problem.

17:51
It's the prices of everything these days and like, I get it. Yeah, the tech is pretty big tech, you know? But like, one thing that I can say, though, is that the sins? Ah, they're very fairly priced on their expansion packs. That's something that I've never had to worry about. I'm not talking about games themselves. I'm talking about like hardware for the games. Oh, like a PlayStation five is $500. I watched you drop almost about a whole grand redoing your computer. last cup. And I still don't even have a new graphics card yet. You don't know the one thing that you started wanting? And you got everything. Everything like you got a whole case. Yeah, whole new case. And you didn't get a graphics card. So here's what's the problem with graphics cards and PlayStation fives and things this year. So because of how things have been lately, there's a bigger supply and demand. Right. And there are people called scalpers, who buy things and mass amounts to try to resell them at higher prices. So the major sources like Amazon or BestBuy go out of stock really quick. And then they don't refill because it just takes a while to make more product. Of course, so I haven't been able to get a graphics card, because I just want like a $500 graphics card, right, that people keep buying out of stock and then shot selling for like 1500 so you've never actually like ran into scalpers before. I don't buy from scalpers. No not not buying from you buy from scalpers. You think about your life Exactly. reevaluate yourself. You can wait but what I'm saying is you've never had to encounter a scalper before they've purchased things before. So I you've never worked in a retail setting where you sell like exclusive items. and stuff from a from a heart my work at undisclosed hardware store and we have power drills that go from around like 100 to $100 we have some good quality like power drills, Black and Decker craftsmen Milwaukee get one they're good. Okay, I once got a phone call at the store. A customer wanted to buy 15 drills because we were having a sale where they were like $20 cheaper than they usually were

20:00
It was a good sale. He wanted to buy 15 of them. And I was like, we have six in the store. So I put them on hold. And I went to my manager. I was like, yeah, this guy tried to buy 15 power tools. And she looks at me, she goes, No. So I told him that we were having an issue with our, like, products in our corporate situation. So I told him to call back later, I wasn't gonna pick up the phone. But then not even two minutes later, we get an online order request, same guy, same amount of power drills, because he didn't like the answer. I gave him on the phone. He tried to go through the online because we don't have to confirm or deny the request. So my manager looks at the paper and then looks at me and then just throws it in the trash. Oh, no. Okay, first of all, who are you reselling power drills to? Well, maybe I was just thinking maybe it was for a construction site. I mean, I I don't know why you would scalp power Joe's like, Is there really a supply and demand? Oh, Joe's? Milwaukee only makes a couple power drills, like a year. Why? They're, they're very intricate. They have a lot of small little screws in places. Okay, that hold it together. So we have only about three to four power drills from that brand in the store at time. So sometimes we'll get a request for more of them. And we're like, no, because we know what you're trying to do. You're trying to buy them and then resell them to poor unsuspecting people. For double the price. That's crazy. It's crazy. It's It's gross. It is gross and gross. Goddamnit. I just want my graphics card. I just want my GTX 3070 please. That's what I want. I've been recently before I got my new phone. I was trying to get my hands on the green 12 instead of the blue 12 I wanted the green one but all sold out. Yeah. It's like how many people are buying iPhones in the green color that the X the XR, the 1112 and the 12 Pro were all sold out. I was trying to buy a new facial interfaces for my for my for the virtual. Yeah, because it has a big forehead. Yeah. So I was trying to buy a new and you know, a new thing that fits on my face. And they come in different colors. The only color that was available was like orange, and then all the other colors are sold out. You know, I like orange. Yeah, but I wanted purple. or pink. magenta color wanted me to Okay, magenta over orange any day. When did you first start playing video games? When did I first start playing? What Adrian? I had my Gameboy. Maybe since I was like five.

22:31
Five, maybe older? Yeah, no, definitely, I think around five because my first Pokemon games were fire red and Leaf Green, and Emerald, which were on the Gameboy. And the Gameboy was like, That was when we were kids. Like kids kids. Yeah. Maybe like five, six, maybe seven. My first personal video game, like kind of anything. I was like, I think 13 Now that was when? Because when I got my DSP I shared it with my brother. Yeah, I remember my brother and I shared everything. I remember the DSi being around that time. So yeah, I think I think the game would be half that because the DS came out before the DSi. Yeah, and then the Gameboy came before the DS you started young. Well, it was just Pokemon, okay.

23:18
Now like Pokemon your life or anything? Oh, I love Pokemon. You do but first before we start talking about my favorite game series, talking about your favorite leaf. My favorite leaf doesn't happen to be maple. Well, I was I was gonna say let's talk about my favorite like food. You know what

23:39
we tried to segue into this barrier didn't really work. But our next beer is a maple breakfast stout by 14th star brewing.

23:49
So like I said, it's a breakfast stout, and oatmeal stout brewed with local maple syrup and cold brew coffee or Maple breakfast stout has flavors and aromas of dark malts, coffee and maple as an ABV of 6.5% and it is available year round. I love cold brew coffee. I had one yesterday. You did? Yeah. We went to we went to Starbucks and I got it Nitro cold brew.

24:12
Crack it open. Yes.

24:16
My thumb did not go in at this time. No, it did not. You did not violate the beer. Smells like the last one. I highly doubt that port Bruce. Who is this one even darker than the other one, I think Oh, yeah. So this one's really dark. If you guys remember the loot box, we said has a red undertone and we weren't able to see through it. This is totally, totally opaque. Yes. It almost it looks like black coffee has less had than then the first one. It looks like someone poured a cappuccino in in a cup. So it has that cold brew coffee esque smell like two more coffee than maple syrup. So now I'm ready.

25:00
Um, you know, pecans. I'm getting

25:05
pecan pecan. depends on where you're from. I say p can. Yeah. You know, um, when you walk into a coffee shop, like, mid afternoon it just smells like burnt bean, but in like a good way like burnt coffee beans. That's what this smells like to me. I'm gonna go ahead. Now when I make my coffee at home, I put chocolate syrup in it. And just a little bit of creamer and I don't use sugar. Ooh, but I've never thought of maple and coffee going well together. You don't know what it doesn't taste like you think it would is that it doesn't have that much like, it's not that sweet. It doesn't have that much flavor to it. But it has like that coffee. This is delicious. Yeah, it's really good. This is delicious. Nothing that I said where were negatives. I like that. No, absolutely not. Um,

25:56
it tastes like coffee. It tastes like um, when's the last time you had a Manhattan special? Do you know what Manhattan specials are? I can't say that I do. So it's it's like a coffee flavored soda. Almost like molasses. Kind of. I don't know old people drink then. Is it? Is it a coffee drink? Is it an alcoholic drink? No, it's not an alcoholic. Um, I feel like I should probably know this. You definitely should because you like multiemployer so you would think Malta Okay, Malta. Listen Malta Goya Listen, Malta. Listen, don't disrespect. That's what I said. Don't disrespect my pizza. What I said. I said maltego. Yeah, you said malt goyt did not. Yeah, you did. Anyway, you could play back that footage. Mm hmm. I will. I'll insert it right here. multiemployer

26:45
No, this is this is really good. I'm finished it again. You monster. I am. Would you like me to pour you some more? Now? Yeah. Okay. So far, they're both really good. They are both really good a taste kind of similar. The first one we have lootbox it mentioned chocolate was brewed with it. And I don't know if you know, but a common baking tactic for making chocolate things tastes more chocolatey is to add espresso powder. So anytime I taste coffee, it almost kind of tastes like chocolate because that's what I'm accustomed to when I put chocolate syrup in my coffee, like I said earlier, but they almost tastes identical. Like they could be distant cousins, ma'am. They're sweet. They're sweet, bubbly, you know? Two feelings that Pokemon used to give me when I was a kid. I was gonna say sweet and bubbly like you but then you started saying to feelings and I went No, you have more than two feelings. I have all the feelings all of them and I have none.

27:47
But anyways, as I was trying to segue, you ruin every single one of my segways I do. I don't ruin yours. You talk over me? Because I can't stand your voice.

27:57
Yep, rude. I'm kidding. I was gonna pour you more beer later. Ah, missed opportunity.

28:04
But yes, my favorite game franchise is indeed Pokemon. I no one will change my mind. I will not be told that I'm too old for it. No, you're definitely not because all of my friends and like people that I work with and people that I talk to, like, you can ask anyone. It's like, what's your favorite Pokemon? Someone always has an answer. Most of the time. They'll like, say Pikachu because they don't know. But like it's still an answer. Like they still know who Pikachu is. What's your favorite Pokemon? turtwig turtwig turtwig through and through, or bidoof? Do you know why? You have multiple? I have so many you have so many. That's why I don't know because you tell me a different one every time I asked you.

28:48
I like rayquaza rayquaza. However, he says them. You have no idea which one that is? I do I remember when Bobby turned 21 when I made him a birthday card. I drew a couple of his favorite Pokemon on there. rayquaza is is the long the long green dragon. Oh man. What long man? Oh, God. He's very long. He's very long. But see for me bidoof if I came across an animal on the side of the road that even resembled bidoof I would just tear my body in half. That thing is so cute. I hate the Doof Well, I hate you. I hate me too. But oh produce is ugly. The only good thing but Doof does is I remember playing Diamond and Pearl on my DS you get up a Doof you teach all the moves. So like, you know get places well you evolve it first and you teach the evolution all the moves like surf and stuff. You and you would never use it other than for that see with my relationship with Pokemon was. So my brother is a good decade older than me. So growing up he would play it and when I was

30:00
As a child, he was a teenager. So he wouldn't like to tell me things he would just go away, you know, his siblings do. But late at night when he was asleep, I'd go into his room and I take his Pokemon cards, and I would just look at them. Like they were so beautiful Pokemon cards had nice art they did. And then in 2016, when Pokemon GO came out, like that was all the rave. I played it for a while and then you know, the hype died down, but I downloaded it, like a year ago. This was four generations after the first one came out. So there's whole new Pokemon that I completely forgot even existed. And I opened up the app after I was done updating, and the first one I see right in front of my little face was produced and I cried at work. Like I cry. Everyone's looking at me like, are you okay? No. bidoof is here. He's here. Like, I'm a man child, but you are a child. I am a child.

So Pokemon is my favorite game franchise. We stick with the Sims for you. Yes, the Sims will be my favorite video game franchise. There's just so much that you can do. So you don't actively play The Sims, right? No, you enjoy Star Wars though. Yes, I saw the Star Wars expansion Star Wars expansion pack. You get to pick if you want to be with the resistance or not. And I did too. I did two gameplays I did one where I was a Jedi. Oh, you have the star. So, um, I share an origin account with two of my friends and the three of us go tit for tat on when new expansion packs come out. Like we rotate whose turn it is to buy it. I purchased a Star Wars pack.

I did two gameplays one where I was with the Jedi and one when I was with the Sith and it's very nice, the like the attention to detail that they take into the world. It's wonderful. But there's just so much that you can do with the Sims that like the only other video game that I could really think about it that you can do that. almost the exact same thing would have to be like Little Big Planet. Like you got there. Those two games aren't even close. Okay, to the same genre, the Sims and Little Big Planet. You can build. You can gameplay. You can create people. You can make yourself look however you want. All I'm saying I'm 545 right now on there, man, Larry, you manage to compare two very different game genres. LittleBigPlanet is a platforming game. The Sims is literally the title. It's a simulation style game. Uh huh. What was I wrong? Well, okay, one No, no, yes or no question was I Well, it's in the details. The Sims you're building houses and like a life LittleBigPlanet you're building levels for other people to play? Hey, I didn't build the house. The last time I played the Sims. You know what? I built a trench. A trench trench? I built a trench? You can't How did you you can't you can't make you can't change the ground and this Yes, you can. And as soon as for they have the platform tools for the ground for the grid. So you can make like a mountain? Yes. You can change the whole way. Okay, so you know how some houses have like stairs going up and then there's like a garage on like a different level. You can make that in The Sims. So I made a trench board. That Okay, that doesn't. You can't make like a mountain out of the ground. No, you you have height restrictions, but Okay, so there was a one speed build that I watch on YouTube. Someone made Hogwarts, like, made Hogwarts. Huge. It took I downloaded it onto my computer because I wanted to see and then it died. No. So this is my new computer. I downloaded everything custom content and everything. It took four hours to load on my computer. It's beautiful. I still look at it from time to time. Like when I'm having like designers block. I'll go back to the Hogwarts house. I forgot the person who made it, what their name is, but like kudos to you. Yeah, there are some there's some big Sims enthusiasts out there that make some crazy things going on to like YouTube and like gaming YouTubers. For me. The ones that I constantly watch are Sims YouTubers like Wilson z. I love her. Her builds are beautiful, and she puts so much detail into them. Hmm. Who's your favorite gaming YouTuber? My favorite gaming YouTuber? Yeah, like one that you will find yourself coming back to. I watched Markiplier a lot. Mark a movie. I watched since I was younger. And I still watch same. He's I feel like he's a good guy.

34:35
He's game plays Ethan also. Yeah, yeah, I love him. I don't know what their whole that whole like channels and messiness. Yeah.

34:45
Yeah, una sourness. So it was a temporary thing. It was like a, like a social experiment. I think that they were doing where they would put out I think a daily video I'm not sure. And then they deleted the channel. But after a year, right? That's why it's called

35:00
Hold what it is. Yeah. Oh, one year. Oh, it was a social experiment. It's a lot and they could get in one year. I thought Enos, I thought, Yeah, I thought they were trying to be funny. I thought that too, at first too. But then like, I realized that it was Latin for one year, and I went, Oh, so they're actually going through with this. I thought that it was just like fans speculated rumors. That's crazy. That's a lot of a lot of work. But, you know, I, I tried making a gaming channel. I'm still gonna try to go for it. If anybody wants to check it out. It's Chris chronics on YouTube. Yes. He's really good. Really funny. He's okay. Now he's super funny. Me and my friends is just wanted him to videos up right now Monsanto world great game, one of my favorite games. I wish we had more time to talk about other kinds of games. It wasn't much there wasn't much structure to what I wanted to talk about with this episode. Just video games in general Video Games has been a big part of Chris and I his childhood and, you know, it brings us comfort now as adults, where it's a way for us to escape the real life responsibilities that we have. And I, I'm pretty sure that everybody can say like, to some extent that that's what video games are for them. It's a way of making yourself into somebody different and living another life kind of like a role playing like d&d. d&d. Well, you know what, we're gonna have an episode about d&d. Yes, eventually, that has to do with Jared. So stay tuned for that. We're also I also want to do an episode solely about virtual reality, because that's really interesting to me. And I'll do more research for that episode. But talking about things that give me comfort, such as video games, vanilla is the flavor that also gives me a lot of comfort. Vanilla is a scent. That gives me a lot of comfort. Really? Yes. Well, our last beer just happens to be a vanilla Porter. Yes, by Breck brew. So I've had

36:57
Kentucky vanilla bourbon.

37:00
That was an ale ale. This was a porter, so I've never had a vanilla quarter. Roasted malts with notes of vanilla. Real vanilla beans. Madagascar, combined with caramel and Munich malts create a beer that's balanced and flavorful. aromas of vanilla and toasted grain set the stage for mellow flavors of vanilla and dark roasted malts. Don't let it deep mahogany colorful you vanilla Porter is dark in color and packed a flavor yet it yet it is as smooth as they come and easy to enjoy at any time of the year. It is 5.4 ABB pretty hopeful for this. It's not a twist. I hate to tell you this, but it's not on twist off. There's a bottle opener right there. Oh, there is How kind of you. How do I miss one? Oh, wait, I see it. Okay, you've lost your opportunity. Fair warning his bottle opener shaped like a fish. And I was unsure of how to use it.

37:53
Who you warning? I don't know. Myself. Oh, smells like pretzels. Wow, they were not kidding with this mahogany color. There was no head on that. Absolutely no head. I think specifically there's no head because it was in a bottle. But that's just my opinion. Because when I pour things that are in bottles versus cans, I tend to do it a little bit better. This is a this is a lot less opaque than the other ones. You could see through this a little bit. This has the same kind of color as loot box.

38:25
It's clearer though. Yeah, it's clearer. Not as hazy more cherry red. It does smell like pretzels. It's very ready. Yes. yeasty. I don't smell vanilla. See, with vanilla flavored things. It's very rare that it would also smell like vanilla. But there's almost like a caramel. Kind of. Well, I beg to differ. I think things you smell caramel. Yeah, that's good. But I think things should smell like vanilla or vanilla flavored. vanilla cake smells like vanilla. Speaking of vanilla flavored things. Have you ever had the vanilla flavored Tootsie Roll? I haven't. Oh, the white ones? Yes. Oh, my. God. Forgot those existed. Boston. What Boston those songs are? What does that mean? Like, last night?

39:16
I said give me this beer. Oh, wow. Okay. They weren't kidding about the smoothness. It's very light. I'm not used to porters having a light mouthfeel Hmm. You know, this one was kind of underwhelming tasting bread. Tastes like bread. I don't taste what No. Oh, I do. Oh my way. That's the thing. No, it's it's there was a very underlying flavor. I could taste caramel. I think the underlying flavor, you could taste the roast. You can but I think the underlying flavor of the vanilla comes from you said it was made with vanilla beans. Yes, yes. So, um, things that are made with vanilla bean like food and drinks, particularly that taste of vanilla.
